Stone begins in the ground

Own travertine quarry Ararat, Armenia

Not in a warehouse and not in a price list. Petro Stone works its own travertine quarry at the Ararat deposit, near the town of Ararat.

Owning the quarry means the first decision about the stone is ours. Which bed to open, which block to cut free, what goes into production and what stays behind.

We have worked with stone since 2004. Petro Stone was established in 2015, and since then the whole chain, from the face to the packed pallet, has stayed in one pair of hands.

First the stone. Then the company.

The order matters. First came years of working with stone, from 2004. Then, in 2015, came Petro Stone — a company that gathered that experience into one chain: quarry, production, export.
