SECTION 01

Materials

01 MATERIALS

Armenian stone

We work with what the Armenian ground gives. Three stones, three temperaments, three different conversations with light.

Three stones

  • FLAGSHIP MATERIAL

Our own stone from the Ararat deposit. Warm, porous, alive in its texture. The flagship material of the company.

  • A volcanic stone, recognisable by its grain. The traditional material of Armenian architecture.

  • A dense, dark stone. An even tone and a restrained surface that holds both form and weight.

02 TRAVERTINE

FLAGSHIP MATERIAL

Armenian travertine

Our own stone. Quarried at the Petro Stone quarry at the Ararat deposit, and carried from the face to the finished piece in one pair of hands.

TEMPERAMENT

  1. A warm range

A warm, light tone — the temperament of travertine from the Ararat deposit.

  2. A living texture

A porous surface, alive in its texture: light settles into the stone instead of bouncing off it.

  3. Our own quarry

Selection starts at the face: colour and structure are judged before the first cut.
