About this format
Kerbs are long, narrow units that edge roads, paths, plazas and planting. Availability of kerbs in each stone is confirmed per enquiry. Send the profile drawing, the stone and the quantity, and we reply with what we can supply.

A kerb is defined by its section: the width of the top face, the upstand, the edge profile and the length. Straight, curved and corner pieces are specified separately, and drop kerbs at crossings need their own profile.
Kerbs take impact, abrasion, frost and de-icing salts, so they are usually specified in dense, low-absorption stone. As general guidance, dense volcanic stone such as basalt is the kind most often considered for heavy-wear edges, and travertine for pedestrian and garden edging. We confirm availability, finish and format for each enquiry.
Send a section drawing, the lengths you need, the radii of any curves and the quantity in the unit you work in. State the exposure, whether pedestrian, vehicular or de-icing salts, and the finish for the top and the face.
