Stone wall cladding

Tiles, strips, split-face panels and slabs for interior and exterior walls.

Split-face travertine strips on a wall

01 Overview

About this application

Wall cladding covers feature walls, interior linings and exterior wall surfaces. Strips and split-face panels add relief; sawn or honed tiles give a flat, calm plane.

Travertine is supplied as tiles, narrow strips, split-face ledger panels and slabs for walls. Tuff has a granular surface and a long record in Armenian wall building, and tiles, slabs and cut-to-size pieces in tuff are quoted on request.

Fixing depends on weight, height and exposure. Interior walls are usually adhered; exterior and heavy cladding often needs mechanical fixing, which sets a minimum thickness. Choose adhesives that suit light or porous stone, because some stain it.

State the format, size, thickness, finish and the edge and corner details. For strips, give the length in linear metres. Lay out from several packs and blend them, so that tonal variation reads as natural rather than as patches.
